Terms of service
Here’s how the service works, in a nutshell. We send you the contract with the proposal: that’s what you sign, and it’s what governs.
Who provides it
MilimetricWebs is a brand of Milimetric Marketing, S.L., which is the company that provides the service. It’s only for businesses and freelancers.
What’s included
What’s in your plan and your proposal. Anything that isn’t is charged separately: for example, the domain or email accounts.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to support our work. The team reviews everything before publishing it, and we’re just as accountable for it. The tools have no access to personal data. We never pass off anything generated with AI as real.
Minimum term and cancellation
- 12-month minimum term. We don’t charge you for building the website upfront: we spread it over the first 12 monthly fees.
- After that, month to month. You can cancel whenever you like, with 30 days’ notice.
- If you leave before the 12 months are up, you pay the remaining monthly fees until the 12 months are covered.
Payment
- In advance, like rent: on the 1st of each month, by direct debit (SEPA).
- The price stays the same for the first 12 months. After that, it can be reviewed once a year: we’ll give you 30 days’ notice and, if you don’t agree, you can cancel.
If a payment isn’t made
First, we let you know. If it still hasn’t been paid by the 15th, the website is deactivated until the payment is settled. If the debt is still outstanding after 60 days, the contract ends.
Plan changes
You can move up a plan whenever you like. To move down, give us 30 days’ notice: it’s possible as long as the new plan keeps what your website already uses.
What’s yours
- The domain, always in your name. Its cost is separate from the monthly fee.
- The content: the copy, your photos and the enquiries you receive.
- The design and the code are ours. While the subscription lasts, the website is yours to use.
- You can buy the website once the 12 months are up, at a fixed price set out in the proposal that goes down every year. You take the website as it is, up and running; the editing panel and our tools are not included.
- If you leave without buying it, the website is taken offline and we give you the content: the copy and the enquiries in a spreadsheet, and the photos you sent us.
What we can’t guarantee
We build the website to work and bring you customers, but nobody can guarantee a position on Google or a number of visits, enquiries or sales: that depends on the competition, the search engines and your business.
Nor can we guarantee that the website will be online 100% of the time, although we work on it every day. If there’s an outage, we’ll fix it as soon as we can. If we ever cause you a loss through our fault, our liability is limited to a maximum of what you’ve paid us in the last 12 months.
Your customers’ data
The enquiries your website receives are yours. We only store them to provide the service to you, as data processors. The contract includes the data protection agreement required by law.
If we closed the service
We’d give you 3 months’ notice and hand the website over to you at no cost, just as if you’d bought it, so you can move it elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
If we change them, we’ll give you 30 days’ notice. If you don’t agree, you can cancel at no cost.
Full details are in the general terms.
